Advancing Methodological Boundaries by Innovation in the Pairing of Mixed Methods with Qualitative Methods
Methods in Psychology, Special Issue Call for Manuscripts
Co-Editors: Dr. Elizabeth G. Creamer, creamere@vt.edu

The use of mixed methods has increased in psychological fields in the last decades as interest has grown in expanding awareness of the variety of methods and methodologies available to psychology researchers (Meyer & Schutz, 2020). However, the trend has been to use mixed methods in ways that downplay the contribution of qualitative strategies, tools, and frameworks to the research design. This special issue call for submissions to Methods in Psychology invites methodologically reflexive manuscripts that identify innovative approaches to pairing methods with a qualitative tradition like discourse analysis, visual methods, case study, content analysis, phenomenology, community action research, and grounded theory where each methodology makes a substantive contribution to research outcomes. The open-access fee is waived for articles accepted for the special issue. Check the below link for more information about the topics and call requirements.
The submission deadline: September 1, 2022
