
IEA announced the launch of the Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (LaNA) international results and report on Tuesday, 25 February 2025. The event will be hosted in partnership with INEADE in Dakar, Senegal, and livestreamed for global access.
About LaNA
- Target population: Students at the end of primary school
- Purpose: LaNA offers a unique off-cycle opportunity to obtain reliable data and evidence, supporting a deeper understanding of education practices, processes, and policies.
- Initiators: LaNA was developed by the TIMSS & PIRLS International Study Center at the Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development, in collaboration with IEA.

- Uncovering the characteristics of successful students and schools
- Providing evidence to inform targeted national policy interventions
