Achievement Gap between Rich and Poor is Unchanged After 50 Years, Study Says

Sasha Jones, in this article, examines a new study by Education Next which showed that the socioeconomic achievement gap has remained unchanged for the past 50 years. The data used to conduct this study came from the international large-scale assessment studies TIMSS and PISA. She assessed that although the overall student achievement scores increased over these years, the socioeconomic achievement gap did not close.
