Theme
"Sustainable Education - What Contribution Can Interdisciplinary Empirical Educational Research Make?" (in German: "Nachhaltige Bildung – Welchen Beitrag kann die interdisziplinäre Empirische Bildungsforschung leisten?")
Introduction
Drawing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), GEBF 2027 will explore how interdisciplinary empirical educational research can address current societal challenges and contribute to the development of sustainable educational processes. While Quality Education (SDG 4) is a core focus of educational research, the congress will also address topics linked to other SDGs, including Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16). The interdisciplinary nature of the GEBF provides a platform for researchers from education, psychology, subject didactics, sociology, economics, and related fields to discuss how education can be shaped sustainably.
