The international results of the International Early Learning and Child Well-being Study (IELS) will be released on 5 May 2026, presenting internationally comparable data on the learning and well-being of 5-year-old children attending Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) centres and/or schools. The study directly measures emergent literacy and numeracy, executive function, as well as social and emotional skills. In addition, it collects information on each participating child through questionnaires completed by parents and staff.
