All thematic pages for TIMSS 2023 are now accessible on the ILSA Gateway. In addition to the assessment framework, the pages now include detailed information on the study design, international results, data, and related materials. TIMSS 2023 measured the mathematics and science achievement of fourth and eighth grade students across the 64 participating countries. It also collected contextual data from students, parents, teachers, and schools to provide a comprehensive view of educational environments. The results highlight global trends in STEM education and offer policy-relevant insights.

New Series for Teachers: IEA’s Teacher Snippets

The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) has launched a publication series called “Teacher Snippets”, providing teachers and other interested parties with summarized findings from IEA international large-scale assessment (ILSA) studies and other research to give back to teachers. In this text, two of these snippets (related to sense of belonging to school and to strengthening positive reading attitudes) are introduced.
